Words from the Dean's Office

Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera

I am delighted that our new faculty resource centre is open and very pleased to find out that students (both undergraduate and post-graduate) frequently use the excellent facilities within the centre.
We have installed more than 15 PCs with internet connectivity. My hope is that we have the spirit of sharing and limit usage (especially if it is personal) to about an hour. This is to allow more people to use this facility.

The resource centre web-site is already up and running and this site has its own search systems for resources (books, theses and multi-media material) which are available. It might be wise to do an author or title search first before coming to the centre.

I must admit that there is a shortage of space at the centre and it can probably only accommodate no more than 100 persons comfortably. We hope that when construction of the new block commences, the allocation of additional space for the resource centre will make it even larger.

We have longer opening hours now and we hope to expand this to include night hours soon.

Book and other resource loans have been frozen for the time being as our resource centre is still in its infancy and we need to increase the number of books and other resources before implementing a loan scheme.
